is this really how men understand the world - star wars metaphors and analogies? is it because it’s assumed to be a common cultural experience, or because men really think back to luke’s behavior when evaluating how the country should behave? cause if women did this with sex and the city or something (did carrie torture miranda when she bought the last pair of manolos??) it would be rightfully seen as ridiculous. is it that star wars is gendered male, or is there really something more substantial behind it that makes it useful as a reference point for moral quandries?
